So after creeping on other amazing blogs for the past few years, I've decided it's time for my own. First of all, I read these blogs and think I'm really friends with these women because they're so easy to relate to, they're HILARIOUS, and they're gorgeous! Second of all, I feel more and more blessed to live the life that I am...and what better way to document it than through a blog. Even if it's just to recap the latest Bachelorette. Plus I'm an English teacher and forget how much I love to write and don't do it often enough; in fact, most of my writing has become sometimes snarky comments on my students' essays ("What are you talking about!?").
So a little bit about me - I'm a twenty-something girl from CT. I went away to college and settled back here. My husband and I live 3 miles away from my parents and 5 miles away from my in-laws. A blessing and a curse, I tell ya!
I just celebrated my ONE year anniversary with hubby and couldn't be happier. We are parents to Boots, our border collie/black lab mix. We rescued her from the Humane Society, after quite the hilarious (in retrospect) battle. Long story short, they thought we were unfit parents because we had no experience with her breed and she "can be a handful." Needless to say, we convinced them that we would be excellent parents. With the exception of a few incidents involving squirrels, she's been perfect.
Now that I'm officially on summer break (woo hoo times a million), I hope to blog a few times a week!
